Vicki was born and raised in Harbor Country. Her connection with the Acorn runs deep - in the 1940s her grandmother made corsets in the Featherbone factory and her nephew, James “Jimmy” Francis, has performed on the Acorn stage numerous times. Vicki attended Lake Michigan College then Western Michigan University. Upon graduating from WMU she moved to the Grand Rapids area where she taught elementary education and middle school language arts for 30 years. Vicki moved back “home” in November 2019 and began volunteering at the Acorn in June of 2021. She became part of the Acorn staff in June of 2022.
