Community Film Screening – Prancer

Sunday, Nov. 27 | 2:00pm ET (1:00pm CT)

FamilyFilm

The Acorn is proud to present Prancer in a special screening to benefit River Valley Mustang Foundation, which supports River Valley Schools here in Three Oaks. The 1989 holiday film directed by John Hancock is set in our own Three Oaks, Michigan, where town exteriors were filmed. Prancer tells the story of a wounded reindeer and a precocious young girl who form an everlasting bond.

Eight year old Jessica Riggs nurses a wounded reindeer she believes is one of Santa's, hoping to bring it back to health in time for Christmas. Her holiday spirit inspires those around her, something her disheartened father is having trouble understanding.

Prancer stars Sam Elliott, Cloris Leachman and Rebecca Harrell.

The event will include a a special meet & greet and photo opportunity with Santa and Mrs Claus!
