Expect a night of incredible music and light-hearted laughter. If you aren’t a fan of one (or both) of these guys before the show, you’ll most certainly be by the end! And one of them will finally get his crown!
Sydow
- Hails from Colorado by way of Nashville (by way of Colorado)
- 2024 2nd Place Winner of The Acorn Singer-Songwriter Competition
Break it down: Americana, rock, folk, singer-songwriter, Andy Sydow is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist whose lyrics paint a picture of poetic realism. He is known to sway an audience with acoustic guitar ballads, surprising keyboard chops, and even sing a few numbers on his lap steel. He draws comparisons to voices like Paul Simon and Jackson Browne, mixed with a roots rock vibe reminiscent of Tom Petty or Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats.
Gold
- Hails from Wisconsin by way of Kentucky
- Drove through Chicago to be here

Break it down: Over the years Christopher Gold has written and recorded folk songs, country songs, rock & roll songs, and everything in between citing a love for songwriters like Townes Van Zandt, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, John Prine, and anybody else whose work begins with paper and pen. He travels primarily as a solo act, carrying on the folk tradition of performances that blend music, storytelling, and humor.
