Open Mic Night with host Mike Talbot

Friday, Oct. 11 | 8:00pm ET (7:00pm CT)

Open Mic

Mike Talbot is one of southwestern Michigan’s most sought after performers, having played live music for over two decades at some of the finest venues in the area. Mike has played over 1000 shows, delighting audiences with his unbelievable repertoire that includes over a thousand of America’s best loved hits. As well as live shows, Mike has also hosted hundreds of open mics in the area during his career. “I see open mics as an opportunity to share music and fellowship with other performers. Whether it’s a first time performer just getting the courage to try something new, or a more seasoned professional, an open mic gives all a chance to share and learn from one another.  A true musician never stops learning.”  In September, Mike will be taking the open mic format to the airwaves at WHFB FM102.5 and AM 1060. The new show “Open Mike” with Mike Talbot is expected to premiere with much anticipation on September 23 at 7:00 pm. The show will highlight local performances from all walks of music and all ages and abilities, creating an atmosphere of live local music that can be shared through an on air and  online media making it accessible for all to share in. Mike is also a prolific composer and playwright, generating stories and musicals for the family puppet company Front Porch Puppeteers as well as other creative ventures.
