Tom Abrahamson is a seasoned college administrator, business leader, and nonprofit
board chair. He spent 9 years at DePaul University as Associate VP for Enrollment
Management and Dean of Admissions, helping grow enrollment and integrate
admissions, financial aid, student services and marketing operations. He later led
Lipman Hearne, Inc. as Owner, CEO, and Chairman for 23 years, building a global
marketing firm serving 800+ nonprofit and higher education clients. A founding investor
in multiple start-ups, he also has extensive nonprofit governance experience, chairing
numerous boards, among them: The Acorn, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan
Chicago, the American Marketing Association, Friends of the Children, and Urban
Gateways. Since his “rewirement” in 2016, Tom has devoted himself to pro bono
consulting with early-stage nonprofits.
