Kim Murphy

  • Board member since 2026
  • Resident of Three Oaks, MI

Kimberley Murphy has been a proud resident of Three Oaks since 2017 and an enthusiastic supporter of the Acorn Theater through years of volunteering, fundraising, and service on its Events Committee. She brings a deep background in retail leadership, marketing strategy, and community engagement, shaped by a career that includes leadership roles with Ann Taylor, Montgomery Ward, and her own canine rehabilitation practice, Pawssage Canine Therapy.

Kimberley’s nonprofit and civic involvement spans decades and reflects a deep commitment to community-building and service. She previously served as President of the Western Springs Historical Society, where she founded its Children’s Museum and established the Tower Award for historic preservation. She also served on the board of The Hope Chest, supporting women experiencing domestic abuse through the Constance Morris House. Most recently, she served as President of the Three Oaks Makers & Merchants, where she strengthened local business engagement, collaboration, and community visibility. Across all roles, Kimberley’s work demonstrates her dedication to fostering collaboration, preserving local heritage, and supporting meaningful causes.

Kimberley is married to former Acorn board chair Bob Murphy, adores her dog Magnolia, and is a proud mother and grandmother. When she’s not supporting local arts or community projects, you’ll likely find her cooking and sharing good food with the people she loves.
